SOCS (Supporters of The Chiltern School)

The Chiltern School’s parent teacher association, known fondly as SOCS (Supporters of the Chiltern School) is made up of both staff and parents, who have formed a committee to help support the school through a wide range of activities.

SOCS organises a variety of social events to raise funds for the school and to raise general awareness of what we are trying to achieve at the Chiltern School. Meetings are held each term and are informal, where all ideas and support are welcomed.

The enthusiasm and dedication of the SOCS members is hugely appreciated and they are continuously looking for new members to join.

We have been lucky enough to have taken possession of a new building in April 2025 which has allowed us to welcome new pupils. Whilst the new building is ready for pupils internally, we do not have funding to create suitable outdoor spaces.  Access to outdoor space, play and equipment is vital to our pupil’s development, regulation and learning.  We are currently working towards a fundraising target of £350,000 to transform this outdoor area into a space that meets the complex needs of our pupils and allows them to take learning inside and out.

In our attempt to help raise £350,000 we need your help.

Firstly, how about joining the PTA – we have a meeting in June and one in July – all parents and staff are welcome to attend.

If not, how about offering your time to help at one of our events – you could help out at one of our events.  We will be looking to do more each year as the PTA grows and we can ensure that if we hold an event that we have sufficient people to support and run the event safely for our visitors and young people.

Do you have a skill that we could utilise?

Do you have contacts that may be able to offer sponsorship, whether for a single item in our bid to raise the outside space funds or could open up other doors for us?
