Sports and PE Premium
The government provide additional funding per annum to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools.
This funding, provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport is allocated to schools with primary aged pupils. This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sport. It should be used to encourage the development of healthy, active lifestyles.
Funding for 2018 to 2019
Schools with 17 or more eligible pupils receive £16,000 and an additional payment of £10 per pupil.
